FaceTime was announced by Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs in 2010, along with the release of the iPhone 4. FaceTime originally only allowed calls from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4, but later expanded to other Apple electronics, and of course newer iPhones. FaceTime also expanded from just video calls, to also being able to do audio calls, and even later, group FaceTime calls. FaceTime made video calls easier, and more accessible being able to be done on a phone instead of just computers.
