For example, back in the 1980s and the 1990s, arcades used to be very popular and have died out in the 2000s, because going to them wasn’t a big deal anymore. You didn’t need to go to the arcade to play games anymore, you could play them at home.
Not only arcades, but in more recent years, malls have started dying out as well, with the popularity, and convenience of online shopping, people don’t see reasons to go to malls anymore. As technology becomes more and more normalized, places such as arcades, and malls, don’t stand a chance in recent years, forcing them to die out.
